SON: POOR SCORING FORM CONTINUES

South Korea national team star Heung-Min Son has struggled for form in Tottenham Hotspur colours this season. The South Korea international has now scored in one game from eleven games in all competitions this season after his goal drought continued during the Champions League Group D clash at the home of Europa League holders Eintracht Frankfurt this week.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte dropped Son from his starting XI for the visit of Leicester City in the league just before the September international break after failing to score inthe first eight games this season. He responded to starting the home game with the Foxes on the bench with three goals when he came on for new signing Richarlison. His three goals ensured that Spurs thumped Leicester City 6-2. The game was deadlocked at 2-2 at the end of the first half before hosts Tottenham Hotspur scored four times in the second half.

South Korea international Son had an underwhelming game in the North London Derby as he failed to score and also could not do anything to stop his team from losing. Arsenal took the derby spoils thanks to the 3-1 win over Spurs. The Gunners took the lead through Thomas Partey before the penalty from Harry Kane ensured that the two teams went into the half-time break with a goal apiece.

Arsenal turned one point into three points in the second half through the goals from Gabriel Jesus and Granit Xhaka. The Gunners scored their third goal through Swiss midfielder Xhaka shortly after Spurs went down to ten men due to the red card to Brazilian star Emerson Royal.

Son has now failed to score in two Spurs games in all competitions since the Leicester City game after the goalless draw with hosts Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League this week. The South Korea national team star couldn't take the chances that came his way.
