TOTTENHAM VS MANCHESTER CITY PREVIEW

The Premier League resumes in the weekend with a host of intriguing matches. However, the biggest match for the weekend is at the Etihad where champions Manchester City face Tottenham.
Both clubs had an interesting duel in the Champions League where Tottenham were able to get the better of their counterpart. It took an exceptional performance from South Korea star Son in which he scored three goals.

However, Manchester City were able to defeat Tottenham in the league with young midfielder Phil Phoden netting the only goal in the game. This Saturday promises to be a blockbuster s the season is still early.

Manchester City have the nicer fixture list compared to rivals Liverpool as after the Tottenham match they next face teams outside the top six until November.

This makes the game on Saturday of greater consequences fo the Champions as a victory could give them a foothold in the title race.

Tottenham will be arriving the Etihad with a full complement of players with record signing Tanguy Ndombele scoring on his debut last week. Spurs looked susceptible to high balls in the first half.

Expect Manchester City to target that weakness with Ederson who has the best passing ability of all the goalkeepers in the EPL. The injury to Sane robs City of raw pace but Bernardo Silva is arguably a better replacement.

In- addition, RiyadMahrez appears to have rediscovered his form and was impressive in the defeat of West Ham.

If he is able to play to his potentials then it promises to be a long day for the fullbacks. Kevin De Bruyne was also exceptional against West Ham and this could be the season that he consolidates his position as the best-attacking midfielder in the league.

It would be interesting to see how the games turn out but we expect drama all through.
