Tottenham Hotspur started the latest set of games in the Premier League at the summit after three wins from three games with South Korea player Son Heung-Min at the heart of those victories. The South Korea national team attacker scored the winning goal in two of those victories.
Spurs began the season with an impressive victory over Premier League holders Manchester City.South Korea star Son Heung-Min scored the only goal of the match to propel his team to a 1-0 win over the Citizens. In their second league game, England international Dele Alliscored from the spot inside the opening minutes of the game to give Tottenham Hotspur another 1-0 victory at the home of Wolves. During the just concluded international break, Son picked up a calf problem during the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifier in the Asian region between South Korea and Iran last week Thursday. The injury forced him out of the next qualifying game against Lebanon.
The calf issue also ensured that Son missed the Palace game. Spurs played the majority of the second half with ten men after Japheth Tanganga was sent off for two yellow cards.
